In the mid-60s of the last century, farmer Heinz Erbach started producing barn equipment. With the ERO leaf rotator, the development of his brother-in-law Herbert Roth, he succeeded in entering the mechanization of viticulture as early as 1970.
Over the years, numerous other viticulture machines followed: the patented ERO shoot binder, also developed by Herbert Roth, the post pounder, leaf removers and finally the first self-propelled grape harvester from German production.
With the acquisition of the Binger Seilzug company in 2006, other products such as pre-pruners and defoliators were added.
Until 2018, the two production sites in Niederkumbd and Bingen continued to operate separately. Then the merger took place in the completely newly built plant in the industrial area of Simmern.
Here, more than 15,000 square meters of production space and almost 3,000 square meters of office and exhibition space are available. With the new building, the working conditions and also the production quality could be improved considerably.
